Movie Review: Stardust by Neil Gaiman

Hey guys! Before I tell you how awesome this movie are, could you play the video and listen to the song? I just want to show you my favourite song. I first hear the song from this movie. I love the lyrics and it reminds me so much of Stardust. So do me a favour and listen to it, kay? ;)

When I first watch this movie, it was last year. I totally fell in love with this movie and Tristan (Charlie Cox) too! The movie is based upon a Neil Gaiman's novel, Stardust. It tells the story of Tristan, who is madly in love with a girl, Victoria from his hometown. He will do anything just to have her, including catching the star for her. He first, have to defeat the forever charming Humphrey who is also trying to win the heart of Victoria. Tristan, unbeknownst to him is  following his father footsteps of crossing the Wall. The wall is the only thing that separates the human world and the magic world, Stromhold and Tristan has to cross it in order to get the shooting star. Unfortunately, at 99 years old, the guard of the wall has plenty of time to practice to keep people from crossing. While finding another way to cross the wall, Tristan found something else, a secret he never known.

Ah~ What a very beautiful movie. I especially enjoy the settings and the idea of catching a shooting star itself is intriguing. From the very beginning, the story got me hooked and I can't even peel myself away when the credits roll. The story reminds me of a childhood fantasies and fairy tale. I almost cried watching this wonderful piece.

There are a lot of great casts in this movie including  Charlie Cox (handsome!) ,Claire Danes, Sienna Miller, Robert De Niro (yay!) and last but not least Henry Cavill (smexyy!) Also, don't forget the amazing narrator, Ian McKellen. Robert De Niro or should I say Captain Shakespeare, is such a lovable character and he is so loving and funny you can't help falling in love with him! But beware though. don't tell anyone! Reputations is hard to build but it takes second to burn! Right, Captain? Arrr! Tristan who is played by Charlie Cox is so handsome I wanna dance with him such a loyal and charming (but he doesn't know it!) and silly, manipulating Victoria doesn't deserve him.

Stromhold is the next place on the list of my vacation. I wish to visit Stromhold soon and let's just hope I could cross the Wall. Well, the first thing that I have to do is, find the Wall!

This movie is going to pleasure the hearts of many people! With wits, jokes and amazing story line, I am sure many will love and enjoy this movie. I already watch this a second time and I will never get tired of it. Have you watch this movie? What do you think of it? Do you think it is  wondrous and beautiful and full of fantasies? If you haven't watch the movie then I suggest you to watch it now. ;D
I haven't actually read the book yet but it's on my wishlist and I hope I could get a hand on it soon and I know it will be my most favourite book of all. Neil Gaiman, thanks for writing such a beautiful and fantastical story! ;D

Here is the trailer of the movie. From the trailer itself you can already see that it is amazing, yes?

About Me

My Photo

It all happen, one day, when the sky is blue and the birds is perched high up the tree chirping their sweet shrill melody.
I was walking down the street humming a random song when I saw it....
The perfect, beautiful cover of a painting..

The bell hung on the doorknob give a tingling sound as I open the door. I walked toward the painting, mesmerized by the beauty of it. I stare at the beautiful portrait of a girl sitting solemnly on a chair staring out at the emptiness. She's in a room. A room filled with books. A stack of books piled dangerously high  near the shelf. The painting is so vivid and looked so real that I reached out my hand to touch the painting, ignoring the sign post shouting to not touch the painting.

As I reach out my hand to the painting, I could see the girl smiling. Or was it my imagination?
Suddenly, I feel like I'm being pushed and I could see the colour of the painting start to swirl and swirl and...

I can feel myself groan and my eyes flutter open. I try to sit while holding up my dizzy head in my hand.
I look around and was startled when I heard the voice behind me.
"You can't go anywhere. You have to stay here with me.Don't worry. I have a chair somewhere here." said the girl who was sitting on a chair solemnly....

Da da da da~ I'm thinking about writing about myself but I get carried on and didn't realise I haven't even talk about myself!
